I just want to say that Odessa was a wonderful person. I also am a member of Faith United Church of Christ. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

As a near-by neighbor, I have known the gracious lady all my life. I cut the grass & delivered the newspaper. Lemonade, hot chocolate & cookies were always presented. She certainly had class.

Oddessa was truly a greatlady and a pleasure to know well thru my early years residing in Brewster. I was fortunately able to last chat with her when we sat together at Faith UCC on the Sunday after my 60th BHS high school reunion in Sept. 2005.
Of note, she walked to church that morinng.

Odessa was the last remaining older person from my Brewster childhood. I last saw her at a meeting of the historical society when she reminded me that she had been a Sunday School teacher in the northside church for me, Donald Ernst, and others, whom she could still remember, who were BHS graduates in the late 1930s. She always represented Brewster's best.

Dessa was a beloved neighbor to the Kaser family, always looking out for my sister and me. What a wonderful example of how a person should live -- according to their convictions and always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. She will be sadly missed.

We have many fond memories of Dess. We worked together for the Animal Aid League in Massillon. I am sure her many four leged friends were there to greet her in heaven. She was a woman of great faith. I know she always enjoyed feeding the birds. Our sympathy goes out to her family. Don & Susanne Huff

Odessa was the most amazing woman I have ever met. She had so many stories to share. My biggest memory was when I was about 10, and Odessa had taken in a stray dog that just had a litter of pups. So I would always be at her house helping her with the pups and we would sit on her back porch shell peas and talk about life and animals. She had alot to share and I am grateful that I was one she shared it with. Heaven just got alot brighter because she is there telling everyone her stories of her life. You are one of a kind Odessa, God Bless you.

Odessa was a great friend and will be sadly missed. She was a wonderful Christian and we would all do well if we could follow in her footsteps. She will be sadly missed by all the members of Faith Church where she went until the time she went into the nursing home. Paul and I will miss her very much and we loved her dearly.
